Laurie Petty is one of our Customer Service Representatives who joined the Animal Hospital of Collin County team in May 2000. When she is not at work, she enjoys srapbooking, cross stitching, taking pictures, spending time with her family and friends, watching Survivor and The Golden Girls. She also likes to watch football (being from Chicago she loves the Bears), going to baseball games, and watching her other half, James, play disc golf. They have 3 cats: Piggie, Cheryl, and Joey.
Brandy Slaton is a Customer Service Representative who joined the Animal Hospital of Collin County team in March 2012. She is the proud mother of one son and 4 four-legged kids. Growing up in the surrounding community, she has made her love of animals known to everyone and enjoys interacting with our clients and their pets. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and horseback riding.
Kelsie Solimine is a Customer Service Representative who joined the team in March of 2018. She is a native Texan, born in Greenville, and raised here in Allen. She is the proud wife of an Army Veteran. Kelsie, her husband, and her step-son share their home with two loving Rottweilers, Debo and Athena, and two rescue kitties, Gandalf and Smaug. They love to travel and spend time with family. Before joining the AHCC team, she was a client care specialist at Lake Lavon Animal Hospital in Wylie and an administrative assistant for a variety of businesses. She has a genuine passion for animals and is a life-long animal lover. She looks forward to meeting patients and hopes to give you and your pet a positive and comfortable experience.
Morgan Reeves is the newest Customer Service Representative who joined our team in June 2018. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University and majored in art history. She loves going to museums and plays. In her free time, she enjoys painting, making jewelry, camping, and going on adventures when her dog, Blu. She is an avid animal lover and peace activist. She has a passion for making a positive influence in the world. She feels she is accomplishing that dream by helping people with their beloved pets every day!
Sara Kelly is our Lead Technician who joined the Animal Hospital of Collin County team in March 2015. She has 4 fur kids: two dogs, Sabrina and Levi and 2 cats named Mango and Tango. She got married to a Cornhusker from Nebraska in March 2018. She graduated from Allen High School in 2010 and has fond memories of the Allen Eagle Escadrille, Allen FFA and Friday Night Lights. Her love of animals started at a very young age and has grown as she has. She also fosters and volunteers for a rescue organization, The Street Dog Project, which rescues dogs from the streets of Dallas.
Kelsey Pickrell is one of our Veterinary Technicians who joined the Animal Hospital of Collin County team in February 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma in 2016. She is currently enrolled in the Distance Education Veterinary Technology Program at Cedar Valley College. She and her family have 3 dogs, Coby, Kahlua, Tiger and a crested gecko. She also loves to play soccer.
Chase Barnes is one of our Veterinary Technicians who joined the Animal Hospital of Collin County team in August 2017. He went to Texas Tech where he received his Bachelor of Animal Science. He has a dog named Jamie and a cat named Jinxy. His hobbies include watching the Dallas Stars, movies and skateboarding. He has a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, and he was ranked 1st in Texas and 3rd in Worlds Weapon Competition in 2011.
Hunter Winchester is our Kennel Technician who joined our team in January 2018. He graduated from Plano West Senior High. He grew up loving animals and has worked for various boarding companies prior to coming to work at AHCC. He loves music and sports but his first love is his dog Wesley. He is a black Lab/Great Dane cross who was a dragon in his past life.
Alexis Jones is a Kennel Technician who joined the AHCC team in August 2018. She is currently a senior at Allen High School. She enjoys reading, listening to music, and hanging out with her friends. After graduation, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University for her undergraduate degree and hopes to attend their School of Veterinary Medicine to complete their doctorate program. The thing she likes most about working with the Animal Hospital of Collin County is the comfortable environment and everyone's desire to help animals.
Cara Little is our Social Media Specialist and Event Coordinator who joined the Animal Hospital of Collin County team in January 2017. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University and has a Bachelor's degree in both Biology and Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 7 years, specializing in ICU and post anesthesia care. She married her college sweetheart, Dr. Rodney Little, in 2006. They have lived in Texas since 2011 and now have two sons, Ian and Zachary. They also have a 13 year old boxer, Peanut, who is a spoiled princess. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking and making jewelry. She also loves spending quality time with her family and traveling whenever she can.
Chris Hay is our Practice Manager who rejoined the team in May 2017. His love of animals started at the age of 10, volunteering at the Allen Animal Shelter. At 16 he worked at our hospital for 5 years as a Veterinary Technician, then worked as Shift Lead at an Emergency Animal Hospital, went to Alaska to work at another Emergency Hospital, came back to Texas working in Veterinary Ophthalmology, then joined the team here as a manager. He has a Bearded Dragon named Liz.
